Smile!

Thinking of things that make you smile, like people you love or silly moments, helps you feel good. Researchers have found that even if you are feeling down, the physical act of smiling will stimulate a more positive attitude. When you smile, you feel and act better and that influences others around you to feel and act better too. Make a list of things that make you smile!

SOME THOUGHTS TO GET YOU STARTED ARE:

  • Your child’s laugh
  • A dog wagging its tail
  • A basket of kittens
  • A partner’s smile
  • A friends laugh
  • A fond childhood memory
  • Your favorite place
  • Something you accomplished
  • Anything you’re grateful for

During the day, when you need a lift, look at that list and bring a soft smile to your face.

"A smile is a curve that sets everything straight."   Phyllis Diller
